The Depot was built in 1905 by the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway, which later became part of the New York Central. The station served passenger trains until 1963. In 2021, The Nordson Depot was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The Nordson Corporation donated the Depot to the City of Amherst in 2021. Located at 671 Franklin Ave, The Nordson Depot has a hall that is available for rent and also has a new playground located in the park.
Nordson Depot Information / Reservations
The Nordson Depot can comfortably fit 70 people, tables and chairs are provided. All indoor reservations require a minimum of 30 days’ notice. If it’s less than 30 days, please contact the Office on Aging @ 440-988-2817.
The hall includes:
- (10) 6 ft round tables
- 70 chairs
- (4) 8 ft tables
Rental reservations are made online (see below) Payment is due in full at the time of booking. Fees are non-refundable if cancellation is requested less than thirty (30) days prior to the reserved date.

Alcohol will require addition permits and an officer present.
