DUE TO CURRENT PUBLIC HEALTH CONCERNS RELATED TO COVID-19, THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT WILL NOT BE CONDUCTING ANY IN-PERSON BUSINESS AT OUR OFFICE BEGINNING MARCH 20, 2020 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

BUILDING DEPARTMENT AVAILABILITY:

The building department will continue to conduct daily operations Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM via phone, email, fax, and mail.  All of our forms (e.g. permit applications, contractor registrations, etc.) are available on the Building Department page and may be submitted by mail, fax, and email. Payments may be made by mail or online following the directions on the Building Department Online Payments page.  Plan submittals, permit applications, contractor registrations, payments, etc. may also be placed in the drop-off slot located on the north wall of our office building, to the left of the entry doors, located at the San Spring Building at 480 Park Avenue, Amherst.

Please continue to schedule ALL required inspections by phone unless otherwise notified.
